The closest place to buy your morning bread is the village café, 15 minutes walk from the gite. Alternatively there are a selection of great bakeries just down the road in Prades.

Fresh bread and croissants are available delivered to your doorstep every morning if ordered in advance the day before, or a regular order for the week. We can help you with this.

There are many options for swimming. The municipal pool in Prades is an outdoor pool and has a paddling pool suitable for toddlers, a recreational pool and a large pool for more sporty swimming. The tarifs are very reasonable (2-3 euros).

15 minutes away is a lake with a small beach, with a swimming area sectioned off by ropes and buoys. There are splendid views of the mountains and refreshments are available at the lakeside bar/café.

You are within easy reach of the sea for a day trip or two, and can choose from the broad sandy beaches at Argeles and Canet, or the bays and charm of Banyuls and Coullioure.
